ANC Experience Resort has your safety and health as a top priority. For this purpose, ANC Experience Resort has the recognition and certification of the CLEAN & SAFE project, granted by Turismo de Portugal.

You may consult our COVID-19 Contingency Plan clicking HERE.

In case of traveling to the Autonomous Region of the Azores, you should know that there are some requirements to fulfill so that you may travel safely and calmly.

"What are these measures and what do I have to do?"

From June 15, 2020, the moment you disembark, you are presented with a declaration that you must complete and sign. In that statement, you have the possibility to choose several solutions.

FIRST OPTION (PREFERENTIAL):

The first option, and the option that ANC Experience Resort strongly advises its guests, consists of having already done a screening test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the 72 hours before your flight left for the Azores and the result have been NEGATIVE. You can consult the clinics in Continental Portugal that have a protocol with the Regional Government of the Azores in this link (the cost of the test is borne by the Regional Government of the Azores):

ENTITIES IN CONTINENTAL PORTUGAL IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE AUTONOMOUS REGION OF THE AZORES TO DETECT CORONAVIRUS INFECTION BY SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)

More information HERE.

In this case, you must provide proof, in paper or digital form, of the document issued by a laboratory attesting to the SARS-CoV-2 screening test, within 72 hours before the flight departs from the airport of origin, stating your identification, the laboratory where the test was carried out, the date of the test, the signature of the responsible for carrying out the test, and the negative result.

You must also present the test result in paper or digital format when checking in at ANC Experience Resort.

If the stay is extended for seven or more days, the passenger must, on the 6th day, count the date of the SARS-CoV-2 screening test, contact the health of the municipality where he resides or is staying, with a view to carrying out a new screening test for SARS-CoV-2, to be promoted by the local health authority, whose result will be communicated to you.

SECOND OPTION:

This consists of starting the procedures to perform the screening test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus at the moment the passenger disembarks. For this, the health authority professionals who are at the airport will need to collect biological samples from you, in order to carry out the SARS-CoV-2 screening test.

After carrying out the test, you must remain in prophylactic isolation in the place where you are staying, until you are notified of the results of the test. Please note that you will not be able to leave your apartment until you have obtained the NEGATIVE test result. The test result can take more than 12 hours, sometimes up to 96 hours (4 days)!

If you do not obey the indications of prophylactic isolation and move freely without a negative test result, ANC Experience Resort is legally required to communicate with the local authorities.

During the prophylactic isolation there will be no housekeeping (cleaning) in the apartments. You will also have to bear the costs of the PPE's of the collaborators, delivery of food and / or other necessary or requested services.

In this case, and extending the stay for seven or more days, the passenger must, on the 6th day, counting from the date of the SARS-CoV-2 screening test, contact the county health authority in who resides or is staying, with a view to conducting a new SARS-CoV-2 screening test, to be promoted by the local health authority, the result of which will be communicated to you.

THIRD OPTION:

You have at your disposal a third option which is to return to the place of origin of your flight or to travel to any airport outside the Autonomous Region of the Azores, fulfilling, until the time of the flight, prophylactic isolation in a hotel indicated for this purpose.

VERY IMPORTANT:

  • You must comply with the rules for mask use, physical distance and respiratory etiquette defined by the regional health authority.
  • If the passenger refuses to comply with all the procedures provided, the local health authority may, within the scope of its competences, determine the mandatory quarantine, for the period of time necessary to obtain the SARS virus test result- CoV-2, or, if the passenger does not agree to do so, for the period of time necessary to complete fourteen days since his arrival in the Region, in a hotel defined for this purpose, the costs of which are charged to the passenger who so proceed;
  • Failure by the passenger to comply with the prophylactic isolation in the terms and time referred to, as well as failure to comply with the mandatory quarantine, in cases where it is determined, implies the immediate presentation, by the health authority of the municipality where he resides or is housed, complaint for the practice of crime of disobedience.
